Position Summary


Responsible for the overall quality of care, day to day business operations and nursing management of the monitoring centers and home care sites not staffed with a Homecare Director. This will include supervision and annual evaluation of clinical personnel. The position is appointed as “Agency Administrator” by the Governing Board.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Directs the recruitment, selection, hiring, and orientation of all patient services center clinical personnel. Ensures appropriate and competent staffing is in place in all sites for effective provision of all services

  • Manages the clinical staff in the patient service center and remote patient educator locations

  • Manages ongoing education, continuous in-service training programs, and competency evaluations designed to improve patient care and employee efficiency for all healthcare personnel

  • Provides educational resources necessary in the consideration and resolution of ethical issues, and in the evaluation of available alternatives

  • Manages the quality management process and activities of the patient service center and develops actions plans with follow up procedures and documentation

  • Develops professional rapport with key physicians, hospitals and case managers in the respective geographical area. Provide support to account executives and regional managed care directors

  • Ensures care coordination between patient service center and associated home care sites is continually achieved

  • Manages the clinical operations of the monitoring center. Is responsible for budgetary planning and fiscal management with collective of the patient services center

  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, approved standards, and applicable laws and regulations. Ensures all policies and procedures established by the governing body are implemented and maintained Also responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations and implementing corrective action in response to reports of agency committees and regulatory agencies

  • Ensures appropriate community awareness of services provided and accuracy of informational materials and activities

  • Provides procedures and a system for staff communication that ensures coordinated implementation of plans of treatment and utilization of necessary services for comprehensive care of patients

  • Maintains a system for keeping current all service agreements including financial arrangements that have been made with other providers and for services of others to meet patients' needs

  • Ensures quality and appropriateness of services, including the consideration/resolution of ethical issues arising in the care of patients

  • Maintains clinical skills and required certifications, licensure and /or credentials necessary to assist with patient care activities as needed

  • Provides direct supervision of the clinical staff for the assigned areas. Evaluates and communicates employee performance and recommends salary increases and staffing changes based on corporate guidelines

  • Recommends to superiors when disciplinary action is required and implements approved actions

  • Ensures that any equipment and/or service problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to maintain high level of customer satisfaction

  • Monitors clinical center expenses to ensure operating within budget

  • Ability to analyze data and make effective decisions

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Current licensed Registered Nurse plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in perinatal nursing (labor and delivery, antepartum testing) or minimum qualifications as required by the regulations of the state(s) in which the incumbent resides/works



  • 1+ year of supervisory experience



  • Proven management skills and sound independent judgment. Initiative, organizational and interpersonal skills



  • Ability to motivate and drive performance



  • Ability to be recognized by the physician, community, and case managers as a clinical expert regarding our services and therapies



  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills and the ability to relate well to all levels within the organization



  • Ability to present information in professional and persuasive manner to group and individuals



  • Travel (some overnight) may be required to support the monitoring center
