THE JOB:
The role of EQUIPMENT OPERATOR will utilize lift trucks and other warehouse equipment to pull or put away merchandise. Specific responsibilities include:
• Operate lift truck and other moving equipment to pull, lift, palletize, transport, and transfer merchandise to and from warehouse slots, pallets, conveyors and staging areas
• Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, organization, and supply levels
• Provide back up and peak load assistance for other floors and merchandise handling functions, as needed
• Establish and maintains ongoing relationships; serving as member on various committees as a representative of the department
Qualifications:
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with warehouse moving and tracking equipment such as lift trucks, pallet jacks, conveyors, and Radio Frequency (RF) Equipment
Adherence to REI safety procedures
Effectively adjusts to high volume productivity
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
The ability to frequently lift and shift boxes weighing an average of 20-30lbs with a maximum of 65lbs throughout a full shift of work
Outstanding safety record

Sumner, Washington Distribution Center
Day Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm
Swing Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
Graveyard Shift: 10:30pm-6:00am
Bedford, Pennsylvania Distribution Center
Day Shifts: 3:00 am - 5:00 pm
Swing Shifts: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
Night Shifts: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am
Shifts are scheduled either Monday - Friday or Sunday - Thursday, and may include other days or additional hours due to heavy volumes.
NOTE: REI maintains a drug and alcohol free workplace. All offers of employment for this position are conditional based on the satisfactory completion a pre-employment drug test. If drug tests results are positive, the applicant will be notified by REI. Job applicants will be denied employment with REI if their drug test is positive.
