Process Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Currently seeking candidates with manufacturing or injection molding experience who are interested in the high-tech plastics industry. We are looking for people who want to expand their knowledge and grow with our company. This person will produce precision micro and small injection molded components for medical, micro electronics, micro optics, automotive electronics and military/aerospace applications. This position will take place in the micro mold process area. This person will coordinate the process, methods, and sequence for the production of injection molded plastic parts in micro mold production or small mold production. Provide support to production, design, tool room and customers to ensure dimensionally accurate parts. Takes responsibility for the production of plastic parts that meet or exceed the expectation of the customer. -Must have mechanical aptitude -Must enjoy working in a team environment -High school education/GED required -Experience or training in manufacturing using quality systems -5 years manufacturing experience in plastic injection molding with relevant knowledge of resins and plastic materials preferred -Ability to operate a computer, fax machine, copy machine, and telephone required -Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products -Ability to interpret standards or guidelines and apply to actual variables required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions -Willingness to attend conferences, classes, or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills. Ability to work with various personnel in departments to reach consensus on work related issues. On occasion - may be required to travel for company business -Must be able to use hands to manipulate very small parts or tweezers. sense of touch may be used to detect texture, burs, and edges -Must have corrected to normal vision Candidates should have the ability to perform all of the tasks in the operation of the production injection molding machines and presses. Candidates should understand quality systems and be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions that have been established to complete the assigned product.
