The Nurse Specialist Patient Relations supports the goals of PAMF to provide excellent patient experience and high quality of care by functioning as the primary clinical patient advocate within the Patient Relations section of the Quality and Patient Safety Department. This position provides excellent customer service, listening to our customers, investigating and advocating for customer clinical concerns, identifying and driving changes to continually improve the clinical care and service provided to patients of Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Requirements:
Current California State LVN or RN license
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience or Bachelors' degree in health care related field
Minimum of three (3) years health care experience with patient contact
Strong customer service and ability to manage difficult conversations
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to work successfully with a wide variety of internal and external customers to achieve desired outcomes
Able to instill confidence though a calm, patient demeanor and a professional appearance and manner
Ability to understand and communicate clinical information both verbally and in writing in a friendly, clear, confident and concise manner with patients, families and all levels of the organization
Experience and skill in communicating both positive and negative outcome
