An immediate opportunity exists for a candidate with solid experience leading successful application development/product development projects specializing in SCRUM/Agile development methodology, to join our team. Due to an unprecedented period of growth, we have a LONG TERM CONTRACT position opportunity in the SAN JOSE, CA area for a Sr. PROJECT MANAGER - Agile/SCRUM.

Role/Responsibilities:

The selected resource will work with internal teams to complete the following:

  • Drive software development and implementation efforts to successful completion.
  • Organize and facilitate planning meetings, daily stand-up meetings, sprint and release planning and other Agile development related activities.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and spring/release progress.
  • Maintain Agile process documentation and Agile tools.
  • Manages release plans, iteration plans, forecasting and status reporting
  • Generate process reports indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
  • Assist product teams with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools and best practices
  • Maintain relevant metrics that will help management see how the development teams are progressing.
  • Work to remove any impediments that are preventing forward movement on projects.

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Information Technology; Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience with release and launch into market.
  • Experience implementing new technologies and approaches
  • Experience working on virtual teams
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in a new technology and solution deployment
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at the Director and VP level
    Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with concise communications
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with product managers, engineers, and non-technical personnel.
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master for a minimum of 3-4 years; experience working on cloud and/or Software As A Service products such as IaaS, DBaaS, and other infrastructure related products strongly desired
  • PMP and CSM certification desirable but not required

Candidates must be detail oriented and possess the ability to problem solve and work within a teamwork environment. Must show a commitment to excellence and posses strong communication skills.
