Summary
The Marketing Operations Specialist role is responsible for issuing timely marketing performance reports, tracking competitive marketing activities, and supporting the Manager with key strategic projects. This role will take partners within the marketing department to assemble reporting to be shared with marketing and cross-functional leadership. Will work directly with the Manager to establish processes for projects and communicate with project stakeholders.

Scope
  • Under manager direction, the specialist will perform various activities related to marketing reporting including collecting and assembling data for review, maintaining historical data for continuous tracking and building timelines. The role will also assist in facilitating a variety of marketing projects as directed and document process.
  • Partner with marketing and analytics specialists and managers to compile weekly and monthly performance results and distribute reporting in a timely manner based on a preset schedule.
  • Work directly with the Marketing Operations Manager on key strategic marketing projects that are initiated by the marketing or merchandising teams. Responsibilities include gathering information on the project, understanding the business impact and assist in facilitating the project through all stages.
  • Track marketing activities of competitors and general retail industry, and distribute ongoing reporting.
  • Communicate status updates on projects, request data from partners, and maintain a thorough monthly calendar of marketing activities.
  • Serve as a backup to the department budget management process.


Education Requirements
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree business, marketing or related field.


Experience
  • Minimum: two years progressive marketing or retail experience, experience with marketing performance metrics, and experience in working with cross-functional teams.
