Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
- Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders and development teams in prioritizing stories and building requirements for successful delivery
- Develop transactional based web applications leveraging object oriented JavaScript and REST API's
- Leverage modern JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, JQuery and D3 to build world class user interfaces for web applications
- Design and develop web-based applications in multiple authoring and scripting languages with an emphasis on the Customer Experience
- Work side-by-side with User Experience designers, leveraging multimedia content creation applications and digital media to continuously strive for the best Customer Experience
- Provide expert-level knowledge to business partners to collaboratively solve high complexity problems
- Design, build, or maintain web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools and digital media
- Provide technology direction by evaluating, demoing and selecting new JavaScript technologies and development patterns to be leveraged across the team
- Develop quickly and with high quality via Sprints under the Scrum methodology
- Iteratively improve applications through various channels, including deployments and user-interface improvements
- Own your role and development, conducting deep dives into potential issues with an eye for identifying, solving and correcting problems to limit Customer impact
- Insist on a high standard of development in production releases
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems
- Review code and provide positive feedback with suggestions on how to improve performance, quality and delivery within the organizational standards and best practices, including innovation on new technology and industry standards as they pertain to multi-browser/device development
- Collaborate with product owners, leadership and development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions
- Identify and correct problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree or HS diploma/GED with 5+ years of technical background in Java with supervisory/team lead equivalent experience - 5+
years of demonstrated success delivering projects using JavaScript
technologies in an enterprise level environment - 5+
years Frontend Application Development experience - 5+
years JavaScript experience - 1+
year Angular JS experience - 1+
year previous Technical Lead experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure
to Object Oriented JavaScript - Experience
working with modern libraries such as JQuery, Backbone, Ember or Knockout - Experience
working in a Java development environment - HTML5/CSS3 experience
- SQL experience
- Working
knowledge of Apache - Adobe
CQ5 or equivalent enterprise class content management solutions experience - Exposure
to traditional programming languages such as Ruby, PHP, ASP.net - Familiarity
with RWD (Responsive Web Design) development - Prior
experience with distributed teams preferred - Proven
track record of building high quality software using an Agile/Scrum
methodology
