In this Server Migration Engineer, you will work on a global data center consolidation project. In this role you will work with a dedicated project team as the technical resource driving design and implementation of migration technologies. Technologies covered will range across the spectrum of Windows, Linux, and UNIX, both virtual and physical. We are looking for resources that can demonstrate experience with complicated medium to large data center migrations.
Assume approximately 20% travel. Must be able to travel internationally and have a valid passport and photo identification.
Responsibilities:
Drive the selection of migration methods by technology across countries to ensure a common implementation plan.
Work to draft design documentation templates for each countries factory to be able to work toward server specific migration documents.
Create architectural design documents where needed.
Support actual migrations from plan all the way through to execution on migration weekend.
Drive technical discovery work leading to a complete understanding of a given countries server topology and application stack.
in regards to the travel , there will only be a couple of business trips to Chile and/or Mexico for this assignment.
Must have data center migration experience
Spanish and a valid passport would be helpful
