In this exciting role as a Health Care Provider Architect, you will lead the technical architecture design process during customer engagements and present the technical and business architectural solution to clients.  

 

Ideally, this position will be located in Minnetonka, MN; Hartford, CT; Basking Ridge, NJ; Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA.  We will also consider telecommuters. 

 


This position will require up to 50% travel. 

 

 

Responsibilities:


  • Partner closely with the Solution Engineering Team for successful architectural engagement

  • Execute in the context of 3rd party technology/architectures including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, Enterprise Data Warehouses, Enterprise Imaging systems, Clinical Messaging systems and /or Patient Engagement systems etc.

  • Mentor field technical roles on Healthcare solutions, platforms & customer requirements & considerations

  • Demonstrate thought leadership through publication, presentations, white papers and event participation

  • Develop strong partner relationships to accelerate customer engagements and expand the OGS solution offerings

  • Review design / code written by the engineering team

Requirements

Primary Qualifications:


  • 14 or more years of broad experience in IT

  • 5 or more years of professional experience with demonstrated success in an enterprise, solution, application, or information architecture in a Health Care Provider space

  • 8 or more years of experience as a Technical Architect in .NET Enterprise architecture frameworks, integration & data architecture

  • 10 or more years of development/ architecture experience with .NET technology development skills in C#, WCF, ASP.NET, MVC (2+ years), Visual Studio 2010/2012, .NET framework 3.0, 3.5 , 4.0 & 4.5 

  • Hands on experience in designing and developing .NET Applications  with Service Oriented Architecture, Middleware, Integrations, Web Services, Web & Windows

  • Must have good Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle

  • Deep applied healthcare knowledge demonstrated in all or some of the areas of Hospital Management Systems: Electronic Medical Records systems, HL7 interfaces / integration, Telehealth systems, Provider / Patient Portals, Electronic Data Warehousing and/or Care Management applications, communication & messaging systems

  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time

 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a global team environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Experience in direct customer interfacing and interaction

  • Experience in Agile SCRUM development methodology

  • Experience in AJAX / JavaScript / Front-end frameworks

  • Certification in TOGAF

  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and a good collaborator / team player

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative skills

  • United Health Group experience

  • Masters in Engineering / Information Technology / MBA
