Line Cook

The Line Cook at Flower Child:

At Flower Child, we serve happy food for a healthy world – local, fresh and organic. We’re seeking a line cook – someone to prepare the highest-quality food consistently. Cooking meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products.

As Flower Child’s line cook, you have prior restaurant experience working in a face-paced environment. You can speak and understand English. You thrive in a fast-paced, loud environment and can stand for up to nine hours. You have no problem bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. You speak, read and understand English and are available to work on holidays and/or weekends.

Your Job:

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items.
• Know and consistently comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setups for all dishes.
• Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Close the kitchen properly (assist others in closing).
