SUMMARY:

Our client is looking for a junior level Electrical and Instrumentation Controls Technician to join their team.

This position is responsible for:

-Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical control systems equipment to properly meter chemicals for mixing and plant control treating cycles for wood treatment.

-Maintain systems that will log treating and quality control data into a data base then generate reports for the customers. Individuals in this position manage the entire process including contractors that install these systems.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintain electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
* Assist engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and implement procedures for testing products.
* Troubleshoot applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
* Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
* Directs and coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
* Manages contractors used for installation of the systems.
* Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

Qualifications:

-Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering

-1-2 years electrical and/or instrumentation experience NECESSARY

- Experience with instrumentation (flow, pressure, level) NECESSARY

-Good communication skills

-Ability to travel 50% (regional travel) to customer sites for installations and runoffs of new equipment.
