Portfolio Accounting Associate

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Portfolio Accounting Associate.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Candidates for senior accountant positions should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. Companies hiring senior accountants generally look for at least three years experience, along with a bachelors degree in accounting or finance. Accreditations such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) are also preferred. Typical duties include: Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances Preparing financial statements Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules Assisting with initial internal control evaluations Supervising accounting staff

Additional Job Details:

BS with concentration in business, finance, or accounting - Experience with Excel and Access
High level of personal accountability and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to work accurately and maintain composure under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
Ability to successfully manage and complete multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Curious and desire to learn, self starter
Interest in Equity markets and Equity trading Strong analytical and very strong quantitative skills
Ability to work well on a team and to manage workload with in a team
