Schedules and supervises facility maintenance mechanics, Instrument/electronic technicians and Heavy Equipment mechanics who perform a wide variety of skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance duties and repair of equipment, buildings, and vehicles (Trucks and Yellow Iron) in the facility by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.

Completes time sheets and other reports and forms.

Schedules, tracks, and coordinates work performed by Facility Maintenance and / or Heavy Equipment personnel.

Orders parts and material required to fulfill requirements outlined in work requests. Monitor delivery status and expedite as needed to insure materials are available when needed.

Generates work orders for emergency repairs as requested verbally and obtains proper approval to execute.

Estimate labor dollars and material dollars required completing work orders prior to requesting approval. Close out work orders as complete.

Maintains computerized work order, purchase order, and preventative maintenance systems.

Controls overtime of department personnel, insures proper manning of department.

Supervises the operation of the site leachate system and insures leachate level compliance in all active disposal cells.

Coordinate and supervises the work of outside contractors.

Supervises delivery of intra site mail.

Compass manager.

Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.

Performing other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of supervisory employees. This includes: Directly supervised employees in the Facility Maintenance Department and or Heavy Equipment shop. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization�s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months� related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires significant prior maintenance experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
