Do you have a desire to assist individuals in achieving healthy lifestyle changes and make positive behavioral changes? Assignment Capsule
As a Personal Coach you will work with individuals in a coaching relationship to identify and implement lifestyle changes which will result in improved health and wellness. You will follow a prescribed coaching model and its processes and protocols to be applied online, telephonically and/or face to face.
Respond to coaching members’ online and/or telephonic communications within one business day.
Assist coaching members in identifying target behavior changes, goals and action plans.
Use the coaching website’s tools and resources to support and educate coaching members.
Use proactive means to engage and retain coaching members.
Follow member interaction documenting procedures to assure accurate reporting. Role Essentials
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, wellness/fitness, nutrition, health education, counseling, social work, or related fields.
At least one year experience in health and wellness coaching in a corporate or health care setting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to utilize multiple digital interfaces to support your work. Excellent keyboard and web navigation skills.
Strong organizational skills – able to manage deadlines, multiple tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to serve as a facilitator of peoples’ behavior change, not be the expert and/or educator.
Have a learning orientation – committed to continuous learning and development. High learning agility, ability to change and adapt quickly.
Adaptable – able to shift focus and quickly adapt to change when required/needed.
Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you and your coaching members have absolute and continuous privacy while you work together.
Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or Cable modem for a home office.

3 years experience in health and wellness coaching
Bilingual – English, Spanish
Life coaching experience
Availability to participate in local onsite wellness activities
Background in diabetes education, especially CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) from AADE
Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Frontline Leader. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
