The CLG team includes Home Lending, Consumer Credit Card, Personal Loans and Lines, Direct Auto, Dealer Services, Commercial Auto, Retail Services and Education Financial Services including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses - Human Resources, Finance, Credit Risk, and Compliance & Operational Risk.

This Credit Portfolio Manager will be responsible for leading the production processes for WFHM Real Estate Portfolio's Line of Business Loss and Delinquency Forecasting, Loan Loss Reserve and CCAR Loss Forecasting for the 1st Lien Mortgage portfolios.

Excellent communication skills are required as this position needs to be highly skilled in articulating risk issues and communicating those issues to different audiences from highly technical analysts to executive management within the organization.

The successful candidate will also work closely with home lending business partners, corporate credit, and risk leadership across the enterprise in the execution of this work.

Specifically this individual will have responsibility for:

Establishing and cultivating relationships with Servicing, Accounting, and Finance. Facilitating audit discussions on ACL and Stress Testing (CCAR) in partnership with Corporate Credit and Loss Forecast Control Team. Flawless execution on evolving ACL and Stress Test requirements and implementing common process and procedures across all businesses. Partnering with Loss Forecast Control Team to establish best-in-class practices for internal and external audit. Partnering with Loss Forecast and CCAR modeling teams on development, implementation and monitoring of models. Continued development of loss forecast, ACL and Stress Test team. Together with the origination team and the modeling team, leverage the loss forecast models to monitor the credit quality of the portfolio, conduct operation impact and delinquency forecasting that reflect the portfolio credit quality. Developing robust and consistent monitoring and analytical capabilities for tracking and enhancing forecast performance. 8+ years risk experience and 3+ years management experience. This senior leader will have a track record of success in building and managing credit risk functions in the financial services industry.

They will have substantial experience developing “best in class” risk management processes, knowledge of credit policy development and management framework.

Specifically, we seek:

Significant experience in mortgage or related loss forecasting experience, especially CCAR loss forecasting. Strong forecasting and quantitative skills with ability to translate analysis into actionable strategies and communicate such strategies to Operations, Sales and Senior Management to ensure business benefits from timely implementation. Demonstrable leadership skills with ability to build partnership by enhancing risk team credibility within the enterprise and mentoring team leaders to reach peak performance. Strong interpersonal, team building, collaboration and influencing skills working with leaders outside of his or her direct management. Strong ability to see the big picture and be able to create context and clarity around fairly minute details within that big picture. Requires strong communication skills to clearly articulate issues to Business Units, WFHM ALCO, HCFG and Corporate Credit. Proven track record in effective communications with regulators required. Strong disciplined mindset that can think both conceptually and analytically. Ability to work under time pressure and creatively problem solve on the fly to accomplish team and corporate goals. Establishing strong expectations for the team by setting performance goals and providing consistent performance feedback. This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
