The Marketing and Member Engagement Director owns the end-to-end member experience, and the associated planning and logistics, in support of a large Medicaid health plan.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develops functional, market level, and state-wide strategies and implementation plans

  • Accountable for driving membership growth and healthcare education/empowerment initiatives in support of members

  • Facilitates and manages, as part of a high energy leadership team, innovative and often leading edge health care programs and initiatives

  • Identifies and develops solutions for technical, operational and organizational challenges and opportunities

  • Health Plan Accountabilities

    • Membership growth strategy development and execution

    • Member engagement strategy development and implementation

    • Matrixed leadership in support of Health Plan's Member Services, Enrollment and Member Advocate Departments

    • Member operations oversight and leadership, focused on member outcomes

    • Community outreach

    • Marketing and member materials development and refinement

    • Enrollment Processes for Health Plan

    • Manages community relations specialist team (located throughout the state)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years Consumer Strategy experience

  • 5+ years people management experience

  • Experience in a deadline driven environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Experience creating and delivering presentations

  • Demonstrating organization skills

  • Experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables

  • Experience in meeting or exceeding sales promotion/marketing targets

  • Proven experience influencing and collaborating with others

  • Proven success in working with matrixed partners

  • Project management experience

  • Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

  • Strong strategic leadership

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Less than 25%, mostly local (Kansas) travel.  National travel 1 - 2 times per year

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Prior managed care leadership experience

  • Understanding of Medicaid eligible population within Kansas
