Independent Opportunities of Michigan, Inc. is looking for a Group Home Manager to provide supervision and support to a residential program for individuals with disabilities. Full-time, salaried position with excellent pay and benefits. Applicants MUST have MORC training, prior supervisory experience, a valid MI driver's license, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, and be 18 years or older.
Some essential duties and responsibilities are:
-Provides support and assistance to all persons served
-Acts as a liaison with contractors, guardians and other stakeholders
-Provides leadership, direction and supervision to assigned personnel
-Conducts disciplinary actions as required
-Monitors employee training certifications
-Ensures compliance with emergency program procedures
-Coordinates staff schedules and responds to coverage needs
-Reviews and audits payroll
-Remains on-call for emergency guidance to staff and persons served
-Facilitates new hire orientation at the home
-Follows and monitors medication guidelines and dietary needs of the individual served as outlined in the Person Centered Plan
-Attends and completes all trainings and seminars as requested
-Assists in agency accreditation as directed
