About this job
Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to help support manufacturing efforts in house. This client manufactures small handheld devices and printer sized products that scan products to detect light/color.
CNC Machinist will perform machining operations using both manual and CNC equipment to produce high quality precision machined parts, assemblies, and fixtures. Shop work orders will be defined by engineering drawings (paper and digital), CAD models, existing CAM/CNC code, hand sketches, and basic descriptions of simple parts. Equipment will be operated includes Bridgeport 30Axis CNC Machining Center, vertical mills with digital readout, manual lathes, sheet metal cutting and bending equipment, band saws, and drill presses.
This CNC Machine Shop is considered a "Model Shop" because the machinist is creating majority proto-types. There is a not a lot of mass production, because their clients are unique and usually only need 1-2 of the parts produced.
