Job Description:
Lay out project schedule
Run the crew based on their idea of how to get the project done efficiently
Wear tool belt on occasion
Interact with General Manager or Site Manager
Communicate with other trades
Attend safety and project process meetings
Log time cards on iPad
Lay out 2 week schedule
Send in change orders
Send in panel schedules
Send in list of what labels need to be made
Send in vacation requests
Report incidents on project and write ups

Work Environment:
This person will oversee a crew of 3 to 7 electricians (journeymen, apprentice, helpers). Most jobs are commercial new construction. They will have a job trailer set up at many sites. This person is expected to be out in the field managing and helping out more than in the office.

Culture: efficient, quality focused, good communication skills because will be interacting with other trades and with the management. Someone who is organized and can be a leader to their crew is a good fit.

Dress Code: Jeans, leather boots, hard hat, gloves

Qualifications:
Class A Journeyman's License
2+ years experience as a Foreman in the electrical field

Performance Expectations:
Typical Day: See job description. The foremen is given the flexibility to decide when their crew meets in the morning, how they want to handle the crew meetings and relay the work schedule to them.

Additional Compensation:
This person will be issued an iPad.

Typical day starts anywhere from 6-7am. Typically they work 48+ hours a week. 60 on the high end and in a rare occasion 70/week.

$35/mo for cell phone
Will need to work an occasional weekend depending on project & location

Jobs are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Ames, Solon, Albia, Ankeny, Des Moines. Most of Central and Eastern Iowa.
