Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary:

This Industrial Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled industrial mechanic/electrician position to perform a variety of assigned work tasks to include those related to the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the CVS Caremark facilities, equipment and fixtures. The Industrial Maintenance Technician responsibility also includes maintenance and repair of all associated conveyor equipment, repairing motors, lighting, balers, preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, work request documentation, spare parts procurement, and inventory control. Required Qualifications:

Essential Functions for the Industrial Maintenance Technician • Complete scheduled maintenance as required to HVAC (reset heating unit, replace filters lubrication, check and change worn belts and bearings, etc.) roof dock equipment, and air compressor. • Perform scheduled maintenance on conveyor system, baler, dock doors, hydraulic dock ramps, electrical control panels and fire system. • Perform fire system testing (water flow, weekly pumps, and check water pressure on risers). • Ensure facility compliance with company requirements as it relates to PSE, Hazmat, HIPAA, etc. • Replace fuses, light bulbs, switches, receptacles and ballast. Perform repairs/scheduled maintenance on baler, risers, pumps and sprinkler system. Oversee weekly sprinkler system test. • Maintain and repair various facility components such as floors, doors, walls, plumbing to include fixture replacement, valve repair/replacement, clear clogged drains and limited pipe repairs. • Perform emergency breakdown repairs, including fixing or replacing dented warehouse storage rack uprights and cross bars. • Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems. • Fabricates parts for various pieces of equipment, electrical or mechanical. • Perform general housekeeping to include maintenance activities such as painting, cleaning, etc • Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures. • Perform conveyor repairs, i.e., change motors, gearbox, rollers, belts and controls. • Perform various repairs upon general instructions from by the department lead/supervisor and or manager. Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications for Industrial Maintenance Technician: • At least 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance. • General experience in electric, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, machine shop, welding (gas and electric) and material handling equipment (conveyors belts). • Ability to work closely with all levels of management. • Ability to follow through on assignments or projects • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage stress in self within a fast-paced environment, adapting readily to change. • Strong electrical control background.
