AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Ideation & Analysis
Work with both internal and external customers to understand lines of business including products,markets, customers, and competitors
Work on multiple priorities across locations in b. a fast-paced rapidly changing environment
Work through and lead product discovery sessions
Facilitate or perform process mapping and definition of new processes through business needs analysis or requirements definition
Assist in the development and articulation of "business benefits" to ensure the value of the project is understood across the impacted business units
Demonstrate a broad understanding of best practices within business, systems and technology
Develop and understanding of relevant and new technologies and be able to communicate the business value of use
Planning
Work with Business Analysts to identify projects and product enhancements to be added to the product Backlogs
Educate the organization on the importance of needed product enhancements and/or projects
Work to develop and align application specific roadmaps with the overarching IT roadmap. This will include maintenance, upgrades, production support, and new development work.
Management
Organize and manage technical tasks for multiple projects of various sizes and complexities concurrently
Generate and report work status to management
Ensure all work aligns to the enterprise or approved SDLC methodologies
Management of Application problems ensuring timely completion of resolution and management of communications during resolution
Coordination of technical team members within work streams and across projects
Ensure scope changes are managed and expectations are properly set and met
Staff Development
Train/Mentor IT team members
Act as a resource to assist staff in resolving project issues
Acquire necessary resource skills as needed to create the best possible solutions
Assist team members with development strategies and technical design
Provide the team with guidance during project analysis and testing by offering suggestions for improvement
IT Process Development
Help to establish a team quality standard
Development of work processes, instructions and standards
Maintain overall process knowledge of various business systems
Implement/maintain a production support infrastructure
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in computer-related field
5-plus years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with Oracle ATG Commerce
5+ Years of experience working in an eCommerce environment leveraging:
o Java
o .NET
o MQ Series
o SOA
o Oracle or ATG Commerce
o JD Edwards
o iSeries based DB2 database
o 3-tier web architecture
o ePayment Gateways
o Frontend Web Standards: JSP, HTML, CSS Sass, JavaScript, Icon Fonts
o Responsive web design
o Comment Management Systems & Content Delivery Networks (or caching solutions)
o Development Operations (DevOps) Tools Setup and use of Source Control, Ticketing, and Workflow management tools
Prior experience designing/building/supporting transactional based eCommerce application
Experience working with Waterfall, Lean, and/or Agile methodologies
