Job Description:
- Perform duties as an electrical instrument designer and inspector for construction and record keeping purposes.
- Knowledge and application of NEC and Hazardous Area Requirements (mixing of flammables & electricity)
- Design types include P&ID, basic control schematics, interconnection diagrams, cable tray drawings, loop diagrams, single line diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation, conduit routing charts, and control schemes for motor elementary.
- Responsible for motor control center and power distribution designs, process and utility electrical systems and the required electrical support designs for natural gas transmission facilities.
- Set up detail designs for instrumentation list, instrument specifications, design calculations, lighting and grounding plans, and conduit routing charts.
- Verify modeling accuracy, obtain measurements and validate model labels and elevations.
Position Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years' experience in Electrical Design is required.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to check engineering drawings and understand site plans for retro fit and upgrades to power producing plants.
- Desired person will be able to conduct field site visits in order to gather technical information with vendor representatives for new or replacement equipment necessary for review and approval.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work is required.
