General Responsibilities:

The purpose of the mechanic is to utilize his mechanical expertise to support the needs of the customer in a professional, safe and timely manner. An individual in this position will work to keep all equipment in top running condition through an effective preventative maintenance program. This incumbent is a master technician and assumes a leadership role of product knowledge and standard of quality within the branch. The individual has mastered the operating standards of their branch, the region and corporate. The individual must perform their role without direct supervision.
Basic duties of this position encompass all aspects of vehicle maintenance from basic repairs to complete engine and transmission overhauls. Additional responsibilities include electrical troubleshooting, oil changes and brake service, and performing preventative maintenance.
Mandatory Requirements:
Education Background:
High school degree
Professional Experience:
ASE certification and prior experience preferred. Minimum two years of experience
Skills:
The successful candidate must be 25 years of age Must be able to lift 50+ lbs Must have own tools have a satisfactory driving record and a valid driver's license Ability to work days, nights and weekends required
Physical Requirements:
Applicant must possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities necessary to complete the responsibilities detailed above. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following such as sitting, standing, waking, driving, speaking, hearing, writing, lifting, seeing, and reading. Knowledge of equipment operation such as computer terminal, telephone, portable computer, calculator, copy machine, and fax machine is required.
