Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:

A Manager of Planning is responsible for the financial stewardship of approximately $8.5 billion of CVS Caremark front store sales. A Manager of Planning is directly aligned with and supports the financial objectives of the VPMM’s. He or she will be responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy and coordination of 35 to 45 front store categories, interact with 2 or 3 Divisional Merchandise Managers, and interact with up to 20 Category Managers (CM). Also, a Manager of Planning will have 4 Front Store Financial Planners reporting to them.

The Planning Manager will be responsible for the development of financial forecasts and budgets for the Sales to Gross Margin P&L line items of Sales, Inventory, Write-offs, Trade Allowances, Shrink, and Gross Margin. The bottom-up results generated by the Manager of Planning are utilized in the S&OP (Sales and Operating Planning) cycle to support senior management business decisions regarding the future strategic direction for the company. The Manager of Planning provides a single point of financial contact for each of the VPMM’s they are assigned to support. Required Qualifications:

•Ability to develop accurate logical forecasts and recommendations with a strong supporting business case that reflect the strategic direction and overall business trend related to each front store category.

•Extensive knowledge of workstation software: Excel or spreadsheet, Word or document, Access or database, PowerPoint or graphics

•Proven ability to perform well and with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines

•Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

•Excellent analytical skills, communication skills with all levels, and the ability to work independently and as a team player

•Team building skills, an ability to partner across departments to drive decision making

•Strong leader able to develop his or her staff Preferred Qualifications:

Ten to fifteen years related work experience preferred. Education:
