A successful Corporate HR Advisor will have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years of HR generalist experience, or an Associate’s Degree with at least seven years of relevant experience
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation/facilitation skills and influencing skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to identify problems, collect data, and make strong recommendations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
- Flexible, innovative, and able to work effectively in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities
This position supports the Marketing, Programming, Product, and Digital organizations at our corporate headquarters in Englewood, CO. The role will partner with the various business units to provide HR knowledge and expertise in a broad range of business situations. Working knowledge of a full spectrum of HR functions (including employment policies and practices, employee relations, compliance, training, compensation and benefits) is required to be successful.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Provide guidance and advice on talent management, organization effectiveness, and employee engagement
- Partner with business units to ensure seamless execution of HR-led processes including performance management, year-end compensation, and other business-specific strategic HR initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with client groups to foster trust and accountability, ensuring that HR needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer service
- Maintain a working knowledge of DISH policies and procedures and be able to effectively provide feedback and coaching in their application, resolving issues and effectively managing conflict
- Identify key HR issues within the departments you support, and present recommendations and alternatives to increase effectiveness and engagement
- Perform ad hoc requests and assist with special projects and other initiatives as needed (e.g. new hire orientation, recognition programs, etc.)
