WEB SERVICE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (.NET)
I have an immediate need for a Sr. Web Service Software Engineer(.NET) for a long term contract in Rochester, NY. This engineer should have a strong technical background and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Experience with the full software lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, maintenance) is required. This engineer must be able to work in an Agile team environment and have excellent communication skills to sell ideas to their peers/management. Pay is based on experience and is highly competitive with paid holidays and vacation time. Responsibilities include design/developing/maintain web services and applications (both in and out of the cloud) for new and existing innovative products. This person will also need to work with little guidance and participate in team design/code reviews.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree with 5 + years of professional experience (Required)
- 5+ years experience with web services (Required)
- 5+ years experience with web applications (Required)
- 5 years of UI/UX experience (highly preferred)
- Familiarity with web development technologies
- Excellent debugging skills, with the ability to understand unfamiliar code
- 3 years experience with Azure, or similar technology
- Experience with various Linux distributions
