Designs test scripts, conducts and participates in walkthroughs of application tests from documented plans. Conducts unit, module, system, regression, stress, and pilot tests. Works closely with application developer so testing is considered in the overall project plans and test plans are developed and followed. Assists in setting best practice quality assurance procedures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
3+ years' experience in information technology with experience in Quality Assurance, test script development, and use of current testing tools.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
Preferred:
Graduate degree.
Technical certifications.
Ability to prepare schedules, documentation and test data to simulate conditions.
Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability.
- Working with Service Providers.
- Software Audit and Compliance.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Projects and Policies
- Direct Service Provider QA/QC staff to conduct testing.
Specifies overall approach to creating test data, and conditions for test scenarios.
Prepares testing schedules and documents expected results.
Advises team on debugging aids available for environment.
Assists in setting best practice quality assurance procedures.
Reviews Functional/Technical Specifications and Requirements documents.
Assists in preparing test plans/cases/scripts for software corrections and enhancements.
Assists in scheduling and performing testing then submitting errors/issues for correction.
Assists with the editing of product documentation.
Maintains awareness of new Quality Assurance methods.
