This
Healthcare Economics team is part of the Customer Analysis and Solution area
known as CAS. The team examines data to identify health care trends for fully
insured and self- funded accounts generally between 300 and 1,000 lives, and
then partners with Sales to serve as a consultant to the client, explaining the
story the data reveals and recommending plan adjustments to address trends.

develop reports and analyze data to measure clinical outcomes, network
performance and methodology levers. You will investigate key business problems
through quantitative analyses of utilization and health care costs data. As the

and recommend best approaches for its consolidation. Your analyses will be used

Primary Responsibilities: 



  • Analyze and interpret various forms of
    utilization and healthcare data to identify potential areas for medical
    cost improvements via products, services and other market trends including
    ROI projections
  • Create a clear, compelling assessment of
    root causes and actionable or non-actionable contributing factors
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and
    external customers on healthcare cost and quality topics
  • Participate in customer meetings as
    subject matter expert to present findings and recommendations to
    customers 
  • Quantify value generated by historically
    implemented solutions 
  • Negotiate complex and
    sensitive situations with a win-win attitude 
  • Communicate information openly and in an
    articulate and professional manner


This candidate must be located in New York or New Jersey.

Requirements

Required
Qualifications: 



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of work experience in a corporate
    setting
  • 1+ years of experience within a data
    analytics or data reporting capacity
  • 1+ years of experience with healthcare
    data such as claims and utilization
  • Current proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    (data sorting and filtering as well as pivot tables and v-lookups);
    PowerPoint (creating slides for presentations, modifying exhibits) 


Preferred
Qualifications:



  • Experience giving presentations
  • Healthcare experience
  • Understanding of SQL
