The Time Warner Cable-Denver office is seeking a senior engineer to join our Converged Technology Group. TWC’s Denver office is located in the heart of LoDo within walking distance of Coors Field, Union Station and an extensive list of restaurants, galleries, shops and boutiques.
Position Summary
The business support systems (BSS) development team is seeking a senior Java developer for applications in the sales management domain. The BSS dev team is responsible for technology strategy, sourcing, development, and delivery of TWC ' s sales and order management platforms. The team remains largely focused on supporting the sales process for leads captured through our online channels (twc.com, Go2Broadband, etc…). The individual hired into this position will collaborate across several teams in the delivery of these applications by providing design guidance, code reviews, and deployment/operational support.
Essential Job Functions:
The engineer will perform the following job functions…Design, develop, and deliver software in support of our sales management applicationsDeliver releases via an agile delivery modelDefine coding standards and drive deliveryExecute application design and code reviewsAssist our architecture team with technology evaluationsMentor developersParticipate in road-mapping efforts and senior-level planning discussionsSupport functional, integration and performance testing efforts as neededProvide Tier 3 issue escalation support as needed
Job Requirements:
The candidate should possess the following skills and expertise…5+ years of experience as a software developer delivering Java-based applicationsLeadership experience as part of a development teamA proven track record of delivering Java-based applications from design through deploymentStrong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Java EE, JMS, JavaScript, MQ Series, XML/HTTP, JSON, REST, SOAP, CSS, JQuery, ESB architectureExperience with test-driven developmentExperience with WebLogic or Oracle database technologiesExperience with SOLR or LuceneSignificant experience operating in an agile development environmentStrong leadership skills and the ability to direct the application design and development activities with a team of developers across multiple applications and releasesExcellent verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
