The Vines Hospital is a 98-bed comprehensive behavioral health facility located in beautiful Ocala. We provide 24-hour, 7-day a week services for those dealing with psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues. The Vines provides detox, acute, residential, outpatient and partial hospitalization services for adolescents, adults and seniors. The hospital provides individual, group, and family therapy, as well as community-based services to assist with ongoing recovery.

We currently have an opening for a PRN Intake Counselor. The Intake Counselor will conduct initial intake assessments to determine appropriateness for admission and appropriate treatment level of care. This position will also answer incoming intake calls and provide appropriate resolution. The Intake Counselor is responsible for completing admission paperwork, including admission data entry. When the decision is made that a patient is to be admitted to the facility the Intake Counselor may also be required to perform the following functions if necessary: takes the patient's photograph, obtains all financial information relative to establishment of financial responsibility, pre-authorizes all admissions and clearly documents the outcome of the authorization/communication. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision. This position will work with all facility units, business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, nursing, and data processing.

This position requires a minimum of a Master's degree in a behavioral science field or a Florida licensed Registered Nurse. Florida licensure as a Psychologist, LCSW or LMHC preferred or an RN with previous psychiatric experience preferred. Previous assessment experience required.
