Role Summary

The Staff Nurse will provide health related services to NBCUniversal employees in an occupational setting. The job will include promotion and oversight of NBCUniversal medical policies and procedures as well as assuring compliance set by OSHA/Federal/State/Local laws.

Responsibilities

* Provide direct patient care to NBCUniversal employees for both emergent and non-emergent situations

* Perform care for guests, studio audience and other non-employees

* Use medical expertise to help other business units with employee issues such as transitional work assignments and accommodations

* Provide clinical assistant role in return-to-work programs involving both work-related and personal disability cases

* Partner with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) to execute medical compliance guidelines according to Federal/State/Local laws

* Assume direct responsibility for clinical services

* Respond to medical emergencies inside and outside the clinic

* Administrative functions as assigned and directed Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications

* Current or pending State of New York Registered Nurse License that is clear of any restrictions

* Associate of Science in Nursing

* Minimum 5 years direct patient care experience

* Minimum 3 years occupational health experience

* Basic Life Support/Health Care Provider Certification or Equivalent

* Bachelors in Nursing

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification

* Previous experience with Workers Compensation and Disability cases

* Ability to work independently if required on show productions or special projects

* Strong interpersonal and communications skills; strong team player

* Proactive thinking and ability to handle multiple projects at once

* Prior experience in an occupational/corporate clinical setting

* Greater than 1 year of experience providing medical coverage for TV or Film Production

* First-Aid or EMS related certification, experience and training

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance or direct supervision

* Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems with creative solutions

* Process and detail oriented, including strong organization, time management and prioritization skills

* Ability to work independently, strategize and influence at all organizational levels

* Strong work ethic

* Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
