JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to help us improve Sear's member delivery experience. This role calls for an individual who can own all aspects of how transportation impacts member experience and delivery performance and measure, determine, then drive, any initiatives necessary to improve it. The successful candidate will be a person who enjoys and excels at diving into data to analyze root causes and implement long term solutions. He / She will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency, and a proven ability to lead large cross-functional projects including communication across all levels of management.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage all activities associated with outbound transportation, including day-to-day carrier relationship, freight audit, speed, on-time performance, cost controls, and functional reporting. Provide direction and expertise on the implementation of cost effective transportation systems and how to improve transportation network speed to end customer.
* Develop and ensure implementation of strategies related to cost, speed and innovation.
* Develop and lead holiday transportation plan.
* Be primary contact for transportation related questions/issues from online business unit, fulfillment centers, and stores.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Logistics or similar field
* 5+ years' experience managing Supply Chain operations in transportation, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
