We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Project Engineer.

The Project Engineer will provide project management services to the organization by supporting the engineering team in its effort to meet the organizational goals. Researches and offers solutions to resolve problems. Supports production by making process improvements where necessary and provides engineering services to other departments. Ensures that improvements to processes are in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

As a Project Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects valued at over $2.0 MM.
  • Lead large scale, critical plant wide projects; serve as leader or co-leader on at least one of the company's key initiatives or strategic directives.
  • Develop and deliver detailed training; create curriculums and tools for advanced mechanic or engineer training on new equipment or process concepts.
  • Provide supervision or management and direction to technical staff including direct reports.
  • Contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the Engineering team and company as a whole.
  • Manage and develop the vendor certification and training program.
  • Manage and develop the company's new equipment guidelines and specifications program.

The ideal Project Engineer:

  • Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical degree.
  • 5-7 years of related project engineering or project management experience.
  • Certified trained in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or Six Sigma (yellow or green belt).
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing project budgets and ensuring accurate estimates and cost flow analysis.
