Senior Analytical Chemist needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO.
Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Four (4) years of Analytical Chemistry.
- Graduate degree in Chemistry.
- GC-MS, HPLC and NIR experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- We are seeking an analytical chemist to provide analytical support for various teams within the Company.
- The individual will focus on evaluating the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances in a variety of plant matrices in order to investigate their applications to medicine and other industries..
- It is focused on providing analytical chemistry support for scientists and engineers with an emphasis on near infrared (NIR), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- The position requires a graduate degree with at least three (3) years of experience in the field of analytical chemistry or in a related area.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in near infrared (NIR), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
- Experience in collecting data of a quantitative nature in accordance with best practice documentation is required.
- Knowledge of method validation procedures and multivariate statistical tools would be a plus.
- Preferred skills include 5 years experience in: Analytical Chemistry, Gas Chromatography (GC), HPLC Method Development, Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Wet Chemistry. 2 years experience with UV-VIS.
