Job Summary
The  Human Resources Director leads associate relations and engagement programs for Brookdale.  This position provides direct support to Operations Support Center associates by acting as a business partner and resource on policy and associate relations issues.  The Director leads the Operations Support Center orientation program efforts in partnership with Onboarding/Talent Solutions.  This position is responsible for leading the associate engagement survey process for the company, including results reporting and action planning efforts focused on improving results.  This position will partner with our Communications and Marketing department on associate-focused messaging.

Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the new hire orientation experience for corporate associates.
* Partner with the ED Training team to lead the Leadership Foundations program, and provide feedback to senior management.
* Lead the associate engagement survey efforts for the company.
* Manage vendor partnership, along with annual and ad hoc survey processes.
* Works with the Communications team to oversee Coffee and Conversations, Town Hall meetings and ensures follow up feedback.
* Manages the HR Specialist and generalists.

We seek the following principal qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a professional level associate relations/training role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) is preferred or desire/willingness to acquire
* Strong communication skills and ability to be flexible regarding responsibilities
* Ability to handle pressure of work deadlines
* Knowledge of HR related Federal and State regulations
* Strong knowledge of company benefits, payroll, and workers compensation procedures
* Good presentation skills and ability to work with associates at all levels of the company.
