One of our clients in the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking for a QC Chemist I to join their team! This opportunity is available due to a large growth in demand for our client's products. This position is a long term contract, with the possibility of going permanent.
Qualified candidates need to have a Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Chemistry or a related science. A more detailed job description is as follows:
SUMMARY:
The incumbent is responsible for analytically supporting the Quality Control activities from raw materials to the finished product. These activities will include but not be limited to raw material/components testing, setting up instruments for testing, physical testing, stability testing, and finished product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is the intent to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and, may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
* Verifying compendial methods.
* Analytical support for the QC functions and manufacturing.
* Calibration of analytical instruments.
* Certification/re-certification of analytical standards.
* Writing, review and revision of STPs and SOPs.
* Maintains proficiency with laboratory electronic data acquisitions systems.
* Procurement assignments/responsibilities.
* Other responsibilities as assigned by their Supervisor.
