About this job
The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is
responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale
businesses and for ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale
Credit Risk. WCAS' areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product
stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk
parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation
of an economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit
and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic
advice and solutions to the originating businesses.
The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions Data Management team is
responsible for developing best-in-class data management function within the
WCAS organization and provides excellent exposure to any candidate interested
in Credit Risk and Enterprise Data Management. The team works across the Wholesale bank and is
closely aligned with firm-wide partners including Reporting, Finance, Model
Risk & Development, Technology and the Regulatory Capital Management
Office.
The team is looking to fill a Summer Analyst role
for its Data Management team in New York. The prospective
candidate should have strong skills in finance, analytics, data management, problem-solving,
and communication. Successful performance
in the summer role could lead to an offer of full-time employment upon
graduation.
Responsibilities:
Development of a comprehensive credit
product data dictionary, including key attributes and dependencies
documentation
Data quality management and data consolidation
Conceptual, logical and physical data
modeling
Ad-hoc projects involving various wholesale
lines of business and portfolio categories
Working with technology and cross-functional
partners to implement changes to methodology and to enhance processes and data
quality
Evaluation and integration of external data
for WCAS initiatives
Assisting in the preparation of progress
reports and data analysis updates
Coursework involving finance, economics,
and computer science, with focus on data management and relational databases, previous
work in financial services a plus
Exceptional technical skills in Excel, SQL
and VBA
Strong data analysis and interpretation
skills; comfortable working with large quantities of data
Knowledge of corporate finance and cash flow
based valuation methodologies is a plus
Detail oriented and strong organizational
skills
Excellent communication abilities, both
written and oral;
Ability to solve problems creatively while
working in a dynamic and challenging environment under tight deadlines
Eagerness to learn about risk, risk
parameters, Basel regulations, and regulatory filings
