Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Overview:

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management provides a high-touch client experience through a network of approximately 15,000 client-facing financial advisors to our affluent clients with a personal wealth profile of at least $250,000 of investable assets.

Financial Advisor Intern Role:

The 10 week Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Financial Advisor Internship program is structured to provide a foundation in understanding the Financial Services industry, the Merrill Lynch business, and our Financial Advisor career track. Our Interns will be given the opportunity to learn about our advisory business by gaining exposure to key aspects of the wealth management division including various investment vehicles, relationship building and client support.

The intern's responsibilities may include:

Conducting product, market, and client research

Developing business acumen and understanding of the markets

Reporting and analysis

Updating and maintaining databases

Assisting in business development

Training:

The ten week internship program includes on the job training as well as business and professional development training delivered virtually. Training is designed to help interns build their business acumen, effectively work in the business, and assist as they launch careers in financial advisory services upon graduation.

Training includes:

* Orientation: Company and business specific overview, in addition to Intern on boarding

* Executive Speaker Series

* Web-based curriculum that includes technical training and professional development courses

* Job shadowing to gain knowledge of the financial advisory practices

Locations:

Specific to complex

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

* Pursuing a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university

* Graduation Date December 2015 - May 2017 (rising Juniors and Seniors)

Legal authorization to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

* GPA 3.3 on a 4.0 scale

* Concise, inspiring communication skills

* Strong interest in becoming a Financial Advisor
