Technologist, I&TG job in HOFFMAN ESTATES - Full-time / Part-time

The Technologist, I&TG is responsible for ensuring the complex infrastructure services are scoped, architected and designed to ensure successful implementation and ongoing process operation. The scope of this responsibility includes ensuring the integrity (quality standards) of top to bottom architecture components, including application platforms, integration methods, data platforms, network components and data center platforms within the I&TG environment. The Architect, I&TG is also responsible for ensuring the enterprise architecture standards are relevant, cost effective, consistently applied and provides a cohesive infrastructure for the deployment and operation of business applications.

The Architect, I&TG defines architecture to ensure that the organization's infrastructure systems are built and operationalized within a consistent integrated solutions framework. This position serves as a technical and business-savvy resource on a wide range of core infrastructure issues. The Architect, I&TG seeks to align IT strategy and planning with company's business goals, optimize information management approaches through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities, promote shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows and ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other. The Architect, I&TG will seek to provide clients enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and meet changing business needs. This includes creating design documents and models, establishing architecture methodologies, managing risks associated with information and participating in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
