Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for analyzing, understanding and translating business needs into business/technical requirements with minimal supervision. The ability to facilitate working sessions using advanced modeling techniques is a critical component to the success of this role. Qualified individuals will work in a highly collaborative, cross functional development team on various project activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs business requirements gathering process, including the creation of deliverables
  • Conducts detailed research, product evaluations, and vendor analysis
  • Performs analysis necessary to identify viable solutions alternatives
  • Expertise in identifying user stories, use cases, features and requirements in accordance with organizational standards and processes
  • Expert problem solving skills accompanied with the ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions
  • Must have strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams

Knowledge:

  • Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologies
  • Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem
  • Demonstrates understanding of core business functions

Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of hands on experience working in a development environment that utilizes agile development methodologies
  • W.O.T. (strength, weakness, opportunity, threats) analysis experience
  • Broad understanding of analysis and IT industry, e.g. emerging technologies, industry standards, support services, architectures, systems design, and systems integration and solid knowledge of analysis and accepted IT processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 6+ years of Information Technology related experience.
  • Requires outstanding communication verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires excellent organizational skills

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in an information technology-related discipline; other non-Information Technology degrees will be considered
