Custodian / Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Summary:

 

The Custodian / Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and well maintained building and production facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Ensures the restrooms are clean and maintained by cleaning the sinks, toilets, floors, door handles, soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, and mirrors.  Ensures supplies such as toilet paper and hand soap are replenished.

 

2.  Removes trash from production floor, office, restrooms and break areas daily.

 

3.  Maintains a clean break room by cleaning tables, microwaves, sinks and refrigerators.

 

4.  Oversees a clean and pleasing lobby by cleaning all glass, door handles, moping the floors, dusting walls and tables, and cleaning chairs.  Ensures lobby is decorated as needed.

 

5.  Ensures plants are watered and dead leaves removed.

 

6.  Vacuums all carpeted areas.

 

7.  Dry sweeps the production floor.

 

8.  Maintains clean offices, conference rooms and other common areas such as hallways by dusting surfaces.

 

9.  Cleans all windows and glass.

 

10.  Organizes and orders and cleaning supplies by utilizing combine cards, and FIFO principles.

 

11.  Maintains the lawn by cutting grass, trimming shrubs and landscaping, spraying weeds in the parking lot, picking up trash, salting as needed, shoveling as needed, and performs maintenance on the tractor.

 

12.  Cleans the outside employee break areas by cleaning the pick nick tables, emptying ash trays, and sweeping dirt and trash.

 

13.  Ensures dock areas are clean by blowing dust and dirt from the dock, and ensures pole washing as needed.

 

14.  Maintains all recycling product by separating materials in the recycling area, weighs buckets for solder dross, gathers medal, aluminum, PC boards, copper wires, plastic skids, etc.  This position is responsible for communicating to technicians and purchasing when material is ready for recycling.

 

15.  Conducts building maintenance such as cleaning and repairing skylights, changing light bulbs, performing maintenance on production and warehouse equipment, checks the roof for leaks, checks HVAC filters, checks HVAC filters for leaks and reports finding to supervisor, check pipes and boiler systems for leaks, addresses general plumbing needs, conducts general electrician work, waxes production and warehouse floors, checks for cracks in the building by walking the perimeter, and moves equipment as needed.

 

16.  Completes fixture fabrication according to job parameters as needed.

 

17.  Assists in the warehouse as needed by providing coverage of the door for deliveries, shrink wraps pallets, and assists with shipping.

 

18.  Maintains trade show booth by conducting repairs, as well as storing and cleaning the booth.

 

19.  Completes other duties as assigned.

 

20.  Complies with all policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
