Citrus Memorial Hospital was founded in 1957 as the area's first healthcare institution for residents in Citrus and surrounding counties. Over the years, Citrus Memorial has seen a lot of growth. What started as a small hospital began to grow in the 1970s when a bed tower was added to the facility. After that addition, a boom began. A second bed tower, medical office building and primary care offices throughout the county were built. Two walk-in clinics, multiple rehabilitation centers and several laboratory collection centers later -- Citrus Memorial has become the second largest employer in Citrus County and a beacon of hope for our community.
The Home Health RN provides nursing care to patients in the home care environment. The RN is responsible for the management and coordination of the patient throughout the clinical episode. He/She performs Start of Care/Resumption of Care assessments, reviews the assessments performed by other clinicians, including therapy for development of the Plan of Care. The RN make changes, assesses goals, discharge planning throughout certification period in collaboration with physician, family, supervisor and team to effectively utilize services and resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes.
The RN compares medical necessity criteria required by the payor and takes appropriate action to assess discharge needs and plans for timely and safe treatment and discharge. Coordinates, monitors and evaluates options and services needed to meet patients health needs.
Education Requirements
Completion of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure Requirements:
Registered Nurse -- current licensure -- State of Florida. Current Florida driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
Experience Requirements:
1-2 years current med/surg experience, one (1) year prior home health experience desired.
Certification Requirements:
American Heart BLS certification.
