We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking Lean Six Sigma Trainer with Six Sigma training experience to work as an internal trainer within UnitedHealth Group's Enterprise Performance Group.  The Lean Six Sigma Trainer role will help drive process improvement across the company.  This individual exemplifies the highest Lean Six Sigma standards, develops internal skills to enable self-sufficiency in the various teams, and teaches by example.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop and deliver Lean and Six Sigma training to Black Belts, Green Belts, Lean Leaders and operations personnel 
  • Develop, update, and maintain curriculum for training (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean, Consulting Skills, other process improvement tools/methods) 
  • General content ownership including instructional design, CBT development and management
  • Create and maintain Enterprise Wide Training schedules and calendars
  • Manage registration for Lean Leaders, Green Belts and Black Belts
  • Manage website and SharePoint sites related to training content and customer satisfaction surveys
  • Participate in the Lean Six Sigma community and continuous improvement culture initiatives
  • Provide coaching to Green Belt & Black Belt candidates

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant subject
  • 10+ years of work experience; 3+ years of training experience
  • Black Belt Certification
  • Experience leading/delivering training & providing classroom instruction 
  • Experience developing Lean, Green Belt and/or Black curriculum
  • Proven ability to coach/mentor people or projects; including certification
  • Familiar with Six Sigma Certification requirements & process
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner on complex issues
  • Steward and active participate in culture and values
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and to ability to facilitate meetings
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Recognized technical authority on all primary process improvement disciplines and relevant tools/techniques
  • Demonstrated analytical ability with knowledge of applied business statistics
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong focus on customer experience/NPS 
  • Excellent presentation, training, coaching & mentoring skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Based in Minneapolis or surrounding areas
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-20%

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a process improvement role at BB level; MBB level
  • Strong business acumen; Healthcare experience
  • Lean and/or Master Black Belt Certification
  • Instructional Design experience
