JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Solution Architect is mainly responsible for solution design, evaluation and implementation of Business Intelligence, Share Point or other similar technologies for external or internal clients. This person will work to provide vision, leadership and guidance in defining the architectural constructs

PolESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core responsibility shall be to conceptualize, architect, design, develop and deploy solutions in the BI space; working with business analysts, data modelers, ETL developers, technical architects, and report developers to ensure high quality delivery of end-to-end solutions
Meets with IS and business leadership to understand strategic requirements to deliver meaningful business intelligence for decision making and propose specific solutions using, and not limited to, Microsoft's BI Platform: SQL Server 2012, Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS), Performance Point, SharePoint 2010/2013, Office 2010/2013 and Power BI
Leads and serves as technical expert providing technical advice on BI initiatives and issues for medium to large complex projects. Assists when needed in day-to-day BI and DBA team support providing guidance in technical design and issue resolution
Will be deeply involved in the creation of content, solution design and validation, and detailed project estimations for technical proposals and statements of work
High amount of influence in specific solution strategies, architectures, designs, and implementations with BI technical architect, internal team, IS leadership and external vendors
Ensure the solution architecture strategies are aligned to support development, productivity, scalability, operational excellence and business-technology alignment
Helps define standards, guidelines, and best practices and ensures overall integration, compatibility and effectiveness of systems as part of the BI Center of Excellence.

Assists BI Director and making necessary recommendations

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Software Design, Computer Information Systems or related degree
Should have at least 9 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in creating BI solutions, building data warehouses and constructing data models (tabular and multi-dimensional)
Experience developing analysis and reporting solutions with Microsoft BI Tools such as: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server 2012, Power BI
Successfully organized and led BI projects with a minimum 3-4 team members, providing oversight and direction with regard to architectures, design, mentorship and issue resolution
Engaged with business users to gather requirements and design/architect large Data warehouses in both an on-premise, cloud and hybrid environment
Have a solid understanding of ETL design using ETL tools to extract data from heterogeneous data sources
Proven experience and success leading visual information design, data management, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics
