Job Description:
Repair and root cause problems to prevent reoccurrence. Troubleshoot equipment and assist in departmental expansions. Troubleshoot cabinetry wiring problems and correct if needed. Assist in the development of robot up graders.
Work Environment:
Plant environment - programming robots to weld prototype hoods. About 30 robots throughout three different plants. Plants are all right next door to each other. Fast paced.
Qualifications:
Experience programming Fanuc, Nachi or Kawasaki robots
Directly from the Managers words: (Troubleshooting/Programming is primary, Rigging/Fabricating is secondary)
Rigging/fabricating in my opinion consists of physically placing the robots in location, bolting them down, installing fence, running and plugging in prefab cable systems. For lack of a better term construction.
Troubleshooting/programming would be automation tech support, understanding of inputs and outputs, capability of setting up a robot writing programs from scratch.
Electrical exp: 24kv-480kv. 24 volts are used for smaller components in robot weld cells (promixity sensors, switches, motors, etc.) 480kv component is the power from bus system throughout main robot power source.
Programming various ways: Ethernet, Device Net, Remote Net, Remote IO, Teach pendant. Performance Expectations: 1. Remove and install robots and robotic cells 30%
2. Robotic programming 25%
3. Perform and record preventative maintenance as needed 20%
4. Mechanical and electrical ability 15%
5. Communication 10%
