Autobody Paint Technician - Full-time

The position is responsible for repairing and painting vehicles due to body damage from collisions. Perform all collision repairs and all painting to school systems buses, trucks and cars. Perform chassis and body repairs including corrosion control. Perform sheet metal and steel fabrication. Perform all types of welding. Assist and instruct colleagues as needed. Verify that repairs are completed and meet federal and state motor vehicle standards. Perform all wrecker operations. Perform related work as required. Thorough knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in the repair of buses, automotive passenger cars, trucks, construction and maintenance equipment; thorough knowledge of and skill in the use and operation of shop tools and machinery; ability to detect by inspection any worn or broken automotive parts; ability to adapt available tools and repair
parts to specific repair problems; ability to interpret and work from ketches, diagrams and installation and repair charts; ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
