About this job
- Process and track paperwork related to patient referral, reimbursement, patient billing, and physician orders.
- Follow proper policy and procedures to maintain and manage all patient equipment to avoid loss and insufficient or overstock of equipment on hand.
- Responsible for purchasing postage for center operations per protocol.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all center equipment and implements corrective procedure for preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure adequate courier supplies for shipping of center equipment.
- Responsible for processing all incoming/outgoing mail.
- Prepare and/or ship patient equipment and supplies for timely delivery.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of patient starts and visits.
- Maintain patient files on a daily basis including on and off service record management.
- Organize and maintain storage of archived patient charts per policy and procedure.
- Maintain adequate supply of required patient forms, stationary and envelopes, Sales and Marketing literature, and office supplies.
- Follows company policy and procedures and adheres to state specific regulatory requirements
- Participates in organization quality improvement initiative.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Center Management Team or Home Care Director.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
- Provides internal and external customer service.
- Accurately document phone/voice mail messages and distribute appropriately and timely.
- Process patient status reports and updates as scheduled.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Comfortable working Monday-Friday 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm, as needed
- 1+ year of experience in a Clerical or Administrative Support role
- 1+ year of Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
- 1+ year of experience working in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
- Experience using a computer, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
- Bilingual with English and Spanish
- Experience working in the healthcare field
- Experience with medical terminology
