About this job

The Director of Transport contributes to the success of the Pepsi Beverages Company by leading the regional transport strategy. This person manages Market Unit Transport Managers and has responsibility for driving continual cost and productivity improvements within the region.

Key Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute strategic transport initiatives to increase service and reduce overall operating costs

Determine alternate supply networks and sourcing solutions to deliver lowest cost of delivery

Responsible for managing on-time delivery performance for company transport fleet and common carriers

Establish financial budgets and regional transportation operating plans

Manage/lead Market Unit Transport Managers and support transport driver performance management

Create performance standards and processes to increase sales through reduced out-of stocks

Ensure compliance with all DOT, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

Qualifications / Requirements Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelors Degree

Minimum of five to seven years of working experience in

supply chain/logistics, demand planning, and/or transportation experience

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Business

Strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations

Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills

Demonstrated leadership/management experience
