A glimpse at the job:

In the role of an Asset Protection Officer, you will work in a distribution facility and be responsible for helping to protect assets and providing a safe and secure environment. Our employees will depend on you to ensure their experiences at Wegmans live up to the high standards and expectations we have set. If you are looking for a role that contributes to the entire distribution operations and allows you to protect some of Wegmans most important assets, this could be the position for you!

Duties include:

• Patrolling campus & building by foot and by vehicle
• Traffic coordination
• Internal/ external customer support
• Alarm monitoring & access control
• Answering phone calls
• Investigating complaints and disturbances
• Responding to emergency situations

Please note:

• Candidates must have an open availability to support a 24x7 operation, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience
• Excellent Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Candidates must have strong customer service skills
• Must have the ability to use good judgment and make difficult decisions that affect the safety and wellbeing of others
• Ability to maintain effective communication and composure in a stressful environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
• Exhibit adaptability when faced with changes in the workplace, remaining positive, calm and focused when under pressure or dealing with ambiguous situations
• Use data analysis, wisdom, experience, judgment, and past actions as well as input from other sources for decision making
• Must possess a valid Driver's license and submit to a Driver's Abstract & Criminal Background Check.

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
• Security, law enforcement or Military experience
• CPR/AED/First Responder trained
