About this job

Our client, an agricultural company, is creating a new Controls department and they are looking to integrate many of their product lines into a single point of interface for the end user. They are in need of a controls engineer to get the department up and running.

Responsibilities will include creating a plan to build a team to take the company into the future. This candidate will also be the main point of contact with an engineering services company that will assist in the development of products and systems.

This candidate will also be responsible for creating and setting the engineering standards for products moving forward. Will select the programming language for the products and the department moving forward.

Client Job Description:

- Prepare technical drawings, engineering calculations, design guidelines, and specifications of control systems to
ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.

- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment; develop interfaces and software to
perform required engineering tasks.

- Perform detailed engineering calculations to compute design standards or specifications.

- Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, manuals,
documentation, or testing activities of control systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, or
customer requirements.

- Design, develop, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, sensors, components,
products, interfaces, and software for control systems by following lean product development principles.

- Plan or implement research and development methodology or procedures to apply engineering principles to
projects.

- Prepare bill of materials and specifications for purchased materials or equipment.

* Oversee project design and production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within established
budget.

- Develop timelines, budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.

- Compile data and write reports regarding existing or potential electrical engineering studies or projects.

* Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment
specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

- Design and integrate innovative and world-class control systems to improve overall efficiency, ease of use and
value of the products.
